12- ومما يبعث على القلق أكثر أن معدل الفقر في القدس الشرقية أعلى منه في غزة، رغم أن القدس الشرقية أصبحت مُحاطة بحاضرة إسرائيلية هي " القدس الكبرى " .

The Committee expresses its profound concern at the effect of the unpublished directive of the Ministry of the Interior, under which Palestinians may lose their right to live in the city if they cannot prove that East Jerusalem has been their “centre of life” for the past seven years.
وتعرب اللجنة عن قلقها العميق إزاء أثر تعليمات وزارة الداخلية غير المنشورة التي يجوز بموجبها أن يفقد الفلسطينيون حقهم في العيش في المدينة إذا تعذر عليهم إثبات أن القدس الشرقية كانت " مركز حياتهم " طيلة السنوات السبع اﻷخيرة.
