37. A number of delegations believed that the Special Committee should endorse the concept and practice of preventive deployment as one that could be helpful in preventing conflict.

٢٤ - ورأى المشاركون أن اللجنة الخاصة ينبغي أن تعيد النظر في طبيعة المعلومات التي توزعها على اﻷقاليم غير المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي بشأن تقرير المصير وأن ثمة أمام اﻷمم المتحدة فرصة وعليها مسؤولية لم يسبق لهما مثيل في تقديم أكثر الحلول تقدما لتحويل التفرق الوطني الى وحدة عالمية.

56. Participants considered that the Special Committee should urge the administering Powers to provide legal and political opportunities for their Territories to participate fully in regional conventions and programmes that relate to their environment and future livelihood.
٥٦ - ورأى المشتركون أن اللجنة الخاصة ينبغي أن تحث السلطات القائمة باﻹدارة على إتاحة الفرص القانونية والسياسية لمشاركة اﻷقاليم التابعة لها مشاركة كاملة في الاتفاقات والبرامج الاقليمية التي تتصل ببيئتها وحياتها المعيشية في المستقبل.

19. Jordan believed that the Special Committee should continue to carry out its mandate until Israel ended its occupation of Palestinian and other Arab Territories and a final peace agreement was reached, and it urged Israel to cooperate with it.

21. In view of the fact that none of the sanctions committees had been approached by Member States concerning special economic problems arising from the implementation of sanctions since 2003, as confirmed in the report of the Secretary-General (A/64/225), some delegations were of the view that the Special Committee should acknowledge that positive development, avoid duplication of work and conclude its consideration of this topic.
