One of the objectives of the resolution is to bring to the international community's attention the fact that SIDS and least developed countries (LDCs), particularly those of the Pacific, are ill equipped to combat the impact of climate change.
وأحد أهداف هذا القرار هو توجيه اهتمام المجتمع الدولي إلى كون الدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية وأقل البلدان نموا، ولا سيما البلدان الواقعة في منطقة المحيط الهادئ، غير مجهزة لمكافحة آثار تغير المناخ.

The adoption of the resolution on South-South cooperation, which had been submitted by the Group of 77 and China, was evidence of Member States' support for the strengthening of such cooperation and China was willing to continue to work with UNIDO and with other Member States to achieve the objectives of the resolution.

Similarly, to follow up and pursue the objectives of the resolution adequately, the capacity made available from within existing resources to carry out focal point and coordination functions will need to be complemented by additional resources to enable it to develop multisectoral approaches and strategies for tobacco control and render advice to Member States at their request.
والقيام على نحو كاف بمتابعة أهداف هذا القرار ومواصلة السعي لتحقيقها يتطلب أيضا استكمال القدرة المتوفرة حاليا في حدود الموارد المخصصة لتنفيذ مهام الاتصال والتنسيق بموارد اضافية، وذلك من أجل تمكينها من استحداث نهج واستراتيجيات متعددة القطاعات في مجال مكافحة التبغ وتقديم المشورة للدول اﻷعضاء بناء على طلبها.

13. The Conference recognizes that the establishment of a mechanism to monitor implementation of the 1995 resolution on the Middle East in the period leading to the 2005 Review Conference would contribute significantly towards realizing the goals of the resolution.
13 - ويسلم المؤتمر بأن من شأن إنشاء آلية لرصد تنفيذ القرار المتعلق بالشرق الأوسط لعام 1995 طوال الفترة التي تسبق مؤتمر الاستعراض في عام 2005، أن تسهم إسهاما كبيرا في تحقيق أهداف هذا القرار.
