The Declaration states, inter alia, that no State may use or encourage the use of economic, political or any other type of measures to coerce another State in order to obtain from it the subordination of the exercise of its sovereign rights or to secure from it advantages of any kind, and that every State has an undeniable right to choose its political, economic, social and cultural system, without interference in any form by another State.
ويذكر اﻹعلان، فيما يذكر، أنه لا يجوز ﻷي دولة استخدام التدابير الاقتصادية أو السياسية أو أي نوع آخر من التدابير أو تشجيع استخدامها ﻹكراه دولة أخرى على النزول عن ممارسة حقوقها السيادية أو للحصول منها على أية مزايا، وأن لكل دولة حقا مسلﱠما به في اختيار نظامها السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي والثقافي دون أي تدخل من جانب دولة أخرى.

Those measures are, furthermore, incompatible with General Assembly resolution 62/183, which provides that no State may use or encourage the use of unilateral economic, political or any other type of measures to coerce another State in order to obtain from it the subordination of the exercise of its sovereign rights.
