In its previous concluding comments, the Committee expressed concern about the situation of rural women and urged the Government to ensure that rural women benefit from the policies and programmes adopted in all spheres, and that rural women have equal participation in decision-making and access to health services and credits.

The Committee is particularly concerned about the situation of rural women, their lack of participation in decision-making processes and their difficulty in accessing health care, public services, education, justice, clean water and electricity, which impairs seriously the enjoyment of their social, economic and cultural rights.

159. The Committee is concerned about the situation of rural women and regrets that the report did not provide sufficient information on their de facto position in all sectors, including education, health and employment, and in regard to their access to credit, arable land and drinking water.
159 - وتشعر اللجنة بالقلق إزاء حالة المرأة الريفية وتأسف لأن التقرير لم يقدم معلومات كافية عن وضعها الفعلي في جميع القطاعات، بما في ذلك التعليم والصحة، والعمالة، وفيما يتعلق بمدى حصولهن على الائتمان، والأراضي الصالحة للزراعة ومياه الشرب.
