Ukraine was ready to join efforts to elaborate a comprehensive procedure for the prevention and settlement of conflicts that might arise in relation to the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination.

27. The obstacles to the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination, in particular of peoples living under colonial or other forms of alien domination or foreign occupation, have continued to adversely affect the achievement of their social and economic development.
27 - ولا تزال العقبات القائمة أمام إعمال حق الشعوب في تقرير المصير، لا سيما الشعوب الخاضعة للاستعمار أو الواقعة تحت أشكال أخرى من السيطرة الأجنبية أو الاحتلال الأجنبي تؤثر تأثيرا معاكسا على تحقيقها للتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.

1. Ms. Fritsche (Liechtenstein), confirming her remarks to item 109, said that Liechtenstein fully agreed that decolonization, which was based on the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination, was an achievement of utmost importance.

3. At the ninth session of the Human Rights Council, held from 8 to 24 September 2008, the Council considered the question of the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination under several items of its agenda.
3 - في الدورة التاسعة لمجلس حقوق الإنسان التي عُقدت في الفترة من 8 إلى 24 أيلول/ سبتمبر 2008، نظر المجلس في مسألة إعمال حق الشعوب في تقرير المصير في إطار عدة بنود من جدول أعماله.

Moreover, the Rio Declaration on the Environment and Development and the Johannesburg Plan of Implementation referred to the need to take further effective measures to remove obstacles to the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination, in particular peoples living under foreign occupation.

18. Take further effective measures to remove the obstacles to the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination, in particular peoples living under colonial and foreign occupation, which continue to adversely affect their economic and social development and are incompatible with the dignity and worth of the human person and must be combated and eliminated.
18 - اتخاذ مزيد من التدابير الفعالة لإزالة العقبات التي تعترض إعمال حق الشعوب في تقرير المصير، ولا سيما الشعوب التي ترزح تحت نير احتلال استعماري وأجنبي يؤثر بشكل متواصل تأثيرا سيئا على تنميتها الاقتصادية والاجتماعية ويتنافى مع كرامة شخص الإنسان وقيمته وتجب مكافحته والقضاء عليه.

18. Take further effective measures to remove the obstacles for the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination, in particular peoples living under colonial and foreign occupation, that continues to adversely affect their economic and social development.
18- اتخاذ مزيد من التدابير الفعالة لإزالة العقبات التي تعترض إعمال حق الشعوب في تقرير المصير، ولا سيما الشعوب التي ترزح تحت نير احتلال استعماري وأجنبي يؤثر بشكل متواصل تأثيرا سيئا على تنميتها الاقتصادية والاجتماعية.

27. The obstacles to the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination, in particular of peoples living under colonial or other forms of alien domination or foreign occupation, have continued to adversely affect the achievement of their social and economic development.
27- ولا تزال العقبات القائمة أمام إعمال حق الشعوب في تقرير المصير، لا سيما الشعوب الخاضعة للاستعمار أو الواقعة تحت أشكال أخرى من السيطرة الأجنبية أو الاحتلال الأجنبي تؤثر تأثيرا معاكسا على تحقيقها للتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.

3. At the United Nations, Ecuador, in consonance with the principle of self-determination, voted in favour of the resolution on the importance of the realization of the right of peoples to self-determination and the speedy granting of independence to colonial countries and peoples for the effective guarantee and observance of human rights.
٣ - وفي اﻷمم المتحدة، صوتت اكوادور، وفقا لمبدأ تقرير المصير، لصالح القرار المتعلق بأهمية إعمال حق الشعوب في تقرير المصير ومنح الاستقلال بسرعة للبلدان والشعوب الاستعمارية من أجل ضمان حقوق الانسان ومراعاتها على الوجه الفعال.

United Nations organs have also given extensive attention to the legal status of combatants struggling against colonial and alien domination and racist regimes, as well as to measures used to impede the realization of the right of peoples and nations to self-determination.
6- وقد أولت الهيئات التابعة للأمم المتحدة أيضاً اهتماماً كبيراً للمركز القانوني للمقاتلين الذين يناضلون ضد الاستعمار والهيمنة الأجنبية والنظم العنصرية وكذلك التدابير المستخدمة لإعاقة إعمال حق الشعوب والأمم في تقرير المصير.

(f) To continue participating in and contributing to relevant international conferences and events with the aim of promoting the realization of the right of peoples and individuals to international solidarity;

The outcome document urged States to implement indigenous peoples' right to education in several of its provisions.
وحثت الوثيقة الختامية الدول على إعمال حق الشعوب الأصلية في التعليم في العديد من أحكامها.

Such a change, and the seriousness of States in carrying out their responsibilities, will determine the progress of implementing the right to education of INDIGENOUS PEOPLES.
وهذا التغيير، بالإضافة إلى مدى جدية الدول في تحمل مسؤولياتها، سيحددان مدى التقدم في إعمال حق الشعوب الأصلية في التعليم.
