The Advisory Committee shall advise the Executive Secretary on the provisional agenda for the sessions of the Commission and committees subsidiary to the Commission, bearing in mind the need to ensure a results-oriented and focused agenda that is aligned with the development priorities of member States, in accordance with paragraph 5 of the terms of reference of the Advisory Committee.

18A.37 The Office of Strategic Planning and Programme Management supports and advises the Executive Secretary on overall strategic issues, priorities and policies in the areas of programme planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the subprogrammes' activities, and reporting on the implementation of the programme of work of the Commission.
