The Chairperson drew attention to the letters dated 26 August 2010 and 9 September 2010 which he had received from the President of Liberia and the Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United Nations, respectively, regarding the office of Chairperson of the envisaged country-specific configuration on Liberia.

I refer to the letters dated 27 February 1997 (S/1997/165) and 18 March 1997 (S/1997/233) from the Palestinian Permanent Observer addressed to the President of the Security Council and the Secretary-General, respectively, requesting an immediate meeting of the Security Council.

I would like to draw your attention to the letters dated 15 and 30 August 2013 from the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia (A/67/964-S/2013/496 and A/67/974-S/2013/519), which have as their annexes the statements made in the name of the unlawful separatist entity referred to by Armenia as the " Nagorno-Karabakh Republic " .

The Chairman drew the attention of the Committee to two letters addressed to him, one from the Secretary-General issued in document A/C.5/52/12, and the other to a letter dated 29 October 1997 from the Chairman of the Special Committee on the Situation with regard to the Implementation of the Declaration on the Granting of Independence to Colonial Countries and Peoples, which was circulated informally.

I wish to refer to the two letters from the Permanent Representative of Austria to the United Nations circulated in General Assembly documents A/53/215 dated 6 August 1998 and A/53/404 dated 18 September 1998, both with attached statements by the Presidency of the European Union on the recent developments in Myanmar.
