After a discussion in which Ms. TALLAWY, Ms. ABAKA, the CHAIRPERSON, Ms. SINEGIORGIS and Ms. SHALEV participated, the CHAIRPERSON suggested that the text should be referred to Working Group II.
٥٤ - وبعد مناقشة اشتركت فيها السيدة تلاوي والسيدة آباكا والرئيسة والسيدة سينجيور جيس والسيدة شاليف، اقترحت الرئيسة أن يحال النص إلى الفريق العامل الثاني.

1. In its resolution entitled " Work Programme for the Interim Period " adopted at its sixth session (document A/AC.241/L.24), the INCD decided to allocate to Working Group II the responsibility to carry out the preparatory work for the Conference of the Parties (COP) on the following agenda item:

10. The Commission allocated agenda item 5, " Practical confidence-building measures in the field of conventional weapons " , to Working Group II, which was chaired by Carlos Duarte (Brazil) and held 11 meetings, from 11 to 25 April 2007.

In this regard, it was suggested that the issue of financial rules should be transferred to Working Group II. Since the current mandates of Working Groups were decided by INCD resolution 6/1 on the organization and programme of work for the interim period, the proposed modification to the mandates of the groups would equally require the adoption of a resolution by the Committee.

12. The members of the first working group shall decide on the admissibility of a communication, assess the merits of the allegations of violations, and provide the second working group with a file containing all admissible communications that appear to reveal consistent patterns of gross and reliably attested violations, as well as recommendations thereon.
