In order to do that, the programme should contribute to set up mechanisms, agreements and frameworks that led to wider access to space-based information by the volunteer and technical communities.

His Government remained committed to the goals agreed upon at UNISPACE III and supported UN-SPIDER in line with the goal of ensuring equal access for all countries to space-based information needed to manage disasters.

As a result of the mission, recommendations were made in four areas: access to space-based information, the use of such information, spatial database infrastructures and capacity-building.

Among the main pillars of these efforts is the UN-SPIDER knowledge portal, which serves as a gateway to space-based information that can support States in all regions in their disaster risk management and emergency response efforts.
ومن بين الركائز الأساسية لهذه الجهود بوّابة برنامج سبايدر المعرفية التي تمثِّل منفذا إلى المعلومات الفضائية التي يمكن أن تدعم الدول في جميع المناطق في إدارتها لمخاطر الكوارث وجهودها من أجل الاستجابة في حالات الطوارئ.

Six missions were scheduled in 2014 by UN-SPIDER to evaluate the current and potential use of space-based information in all aspects of disaster management, and to strengthen disaster risk management by providing better access to space-based information for disaster risk reduction and response.
53- وقد نظم برنامج سبايدر ست بعثات في عام 2014 لتقييم الاستخدام الحالي والمحتمل للمعلومات الفضائية في جميع جوانب إدارة الكوارث، ولتعزيز إدارة مخاطر الكوارث من خلال تحسين فرص الوصول إلى المعلومات الفضائية للحد من مخاطر الكوارث والاستجابة لها.

٥٠- وقد أفادت أربع بعثات نظّمها وقادها برنامج سبايدر في تقييم استخدام المعلومات الفضائية الحالي والممكن في جميع جوانب إدارة الكوارث وتعزيز إدارة مخاطر الكوارث وذلك بتحسين سُبُل الوصول إلى المعلومات الفضائية من أجل الحدّ من مخاطر الكوارث والاستجابة في حالات الطوارئ.

The discussion regarding the role of portals and websites as gateways to space-based information was launched during the first session, entitled " Networks and portals: shaping up the interface " .
13- واستُهلَّت المناقشة بشأن دور البوّابات والمواقع الشبكية كمنافذ إلى المعلومات الفضائية أثناء الجلسة الأولى، المعنونة " الشبكات والبوّابات: تشكيل السطح البيني " .

UN-SPIDER staff delivered a presentation entitled " Ensuring access to space-based information to support relief efforts " (www.crisismappers.net/video/iccm-2010-ensuring-access-to).
وقدَّم موظفو برنامج سبايدر عرضا إيضاحيا بعنوان " ضمان الوصول إلى المعلومات الفضائية لدعم جهود الإغاثة " (www.crisismappers.net/video/iccm-2010-ensuring-access-to).

(d) Facilitation of access of national institutions to space-based information in order to support disaster risk reduction and emergency response activities;
(د) تسهيل سبل وصول المؤسسات الوطنية إلى المعلومات الفضائية من أجل دعم أنشطة الحدّ من مخاطر الكوارث والاستجابة في حالات الطوارئ؛

After consulting with representatives of the initiatives mentioned in paragraph 13 above, the ad hoc expert group updated the proposed list and grouped the activities into three functions: a gateway to space information for disaster management support; a bridge to connect the disaster management and space communities; and a facilitator of capacity-building and institutional strengthening, in particular for developing countries.
وبعد التشاور مع ممثّلي المبادرات المذكورة في الفقرة 13 أعلاه، استكمل فريق الخبراء المخصّص قائمة الأنشطة المقترحة، وصنّفها في إطار ثلاث مهام وظيفية، وهي: بوّابة مرور للوصول إلى المعلومات الفضائية اللازمة لدعم إدارة الحوادث؛ وجسر يربط بين الأوساط المعنية بالكوارث والأوساط المعنية بالفضاء؛ وجهة ميسِّرة لبناء القدرات وتعزيز المؤسسات، وخصوصا لصالح البلدان النامية.

It is aimed at providing all countries and international and regional organizations with universal access to all types of space-based information and services relevant to disaster management by providing a gateway to space information for disaster management support; serving as a bridge to connect the disaster management and space communities; and being a facilitator of capacity-building and institutional strengthening.
ويهدف البرنامج إلى إتاحة تزويد جميع البلدان والمنظمات الدولية والإقليمية بإمكانية الحصول على جميع أنواع المعلومات والخدمات الفضائية ذات الصلة بإدارة الكوارث، عن طريق توفير بوابة إلكترونية للوصول إلى المعلومات الفضائية الموجّهة إلى دعم إدارة الكوارث؛ كما يشكّل البرنامج جسراً يربط بين أوساط إدارة الكوارث والأوساط الفضائية؛ ويقوم بتيسير بناء القدرات وتعزيز المؤسسات.
