In this context, the Special Rapporteur had already sent a note verbale to all States in 1994 drawing their attention to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1994/18 relating to his mandate and inviting them to communicate all new information within the framework of that mandate and any other observations they might wish to make in that regard.

206. The attention of the Sub-Commission is drawn to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1995/23, in which the Commission expressed its thanks to the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on the question of religious intolerance and took note of his report (E/CN.4/1995/91).
٦٠٢- ويوجه اهتمام اللجنة الفرعية إلى قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ٥٩٩١/٣٢ الذي أعربت فيه عن شكرها لمقررها الخاص المعني بمسألة التعصب الديني، وأحاطت علما بتقريره (E/CN.4/1995/91).

267. The attention of the Sub—Commission is drawn to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1997/18, in which the Commission took note of the report of the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on the question of religious intolerance (E/CN.4/1997/91 and Add.1).
٧٦٢- ويوجه انتباه اللجنة الفرعية إلى قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ٧٩٩١/٨١ الذي أحاطت فيه اللجنة علماً بتقرير المقرر الخاص المعني بمسألة التعصب الديني E/CN.4/1997/91) و(Add.1.

22. On 21 April 1994, the Special Rapporteur sent all States a note verbale drawing their attention to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1994/18 and inviting Governments to communicate any new information falling within that mandate, as well as any other observations they might wish to formulate on the subject.

The Secretary-General deems it appropriate to refer also to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1995/34 of 3 March 1995, in which the Commission, inter alia, encouraged the Subcommission to continue to give consideration to the proposed basic principles and guidelines at its forty-seventh session, with a view to making substantive progress on this matter in the specific field of violations of human rights.
٧- ويرى اﻷمين العام أنــه من المناسب أيضا اﻹشارة إلى قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ٥٩٩١/٤٣ المؤرخ في ٣ آذار/مارس ٥٩٩١ الذي شجعت فيه اللجنة الفرعية على أن تواصل في دورتها السابعة واﻷربعين النظر في المبادئ اﻷساسية والخطوط التوجيهية المقترحة، بغية إحراز تقدم موضوعي في هذه المسألة في ميدان انتهاكات حقوق اﻹنسان تحديداً. أولاً - التعليقات الواردة من الدول

وفــي رسالـــة مؤرخة ١١ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٦، ذكر الممثل الخاص الحكومة بصلاحيات بعثات تقصي الحقائق التي يضطلع بها الممثلون والمقررون الخاصون لهيئات اﻷمم المتحدة لحقوق اﻹنسان، ونوه إلى قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ١٩٩٦/٧٠ )انظر الفقرة ٣٧ )د( أدناه(.

The NJCM concurs with the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights in explicitly granting groups the right of communication, thereby referring to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1994/10 which also mentions the possibility of communications being submitted by individuals on behalf of affected groups and vice versa (ibid., para. 20).

The attention of the Sub—Commission is drawn to Commission on Human Rights resolution 1998/18, in which the Commission took note of the latest report of the Special Rapporteur of the Commission on the question of religious intolerance (E/CN.4/1998/6 and Add.1—2) and decided to extend his mandate for three years.
٩٣٢- ويسترعى اهتمام اللجنة الفرعية إلى قرار لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان ٨٩٩١/٨١ الذي أحاطت فيه اللجنة علما بالتقرير اﻷخير للمقرر الخاص للجنة المعني بمسألة التعصب الديني E/CN.4/1998/6) و(Add.1-2 وقررت تمديد ولايته لمدة ثلاث سنوات.
