In addition, it requested the Adaptation Committee to engage with adaptation-related work programmes, bodies, institutions, organizations, frameworks, networks and centres under and outside of the Convention.

7. In decision 2/CP.17, the COP affirmed that the AC shall be the overall advisory body to the COP on adaptation to the adverse effects of climate change, and specified the five functions of the AC and its composition, modalities and procedures.
٧- وبموجب المقرر 2/م أ-17، أكد مؤتمر الأطراف أن لجنة التكيف هي الهيئة الاستشارية العامة لمؤتمر الأطراف المعنيـة بالتكيف مع الآثار الضارة لتغير المناخ، وبيّن كذلك المهام الخمس الموكلة إلى لجنة التكيف وتكوينها وطرائقها وإجراءاتها.

(d) A request to the AC, in its consideration of its work plan, to assess the adaptation financing needs of developing countries, and the options for costing adaptation needs;
(د) الطلب إلى لجنة التكيف أن تُجريَّ، لدى نظرها في خطة عملها، تقييماً لاحتياجات البلدان النامية من التمويل في مجال التكيف، ودراسة الخيارات المتعلقة بتقدير تكاليف احتياجات التكيف؛

2. By the same decision, the COP requested the AC to report annually to the COP, through the subsidiary bodies, including on its activities, the performance of its functions, guidance, recommendations and other relevant information arising from its work and, as appropriate, on further action that may be required under the Convention, for consideration by the COP.
٢- وبموجب المقرر نفسه، طلب مؤتمر الأطراف إلى لجنة التكيف أن تقدم إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، عن طريـق الهيئـتين الفرعيتين، تقارير سنوية عن أنشطتها، وأداء مهامها، وتوجيهاتها، وتوصياتها، وغير ذلك من المعلومات ذات الصلة الناشئة عن عملها، وحسب الاقتضاء، عن إجراءات إضافية قد تكون مطلوبة بموجب الاتفاقية، لينظر فيها مؤتمر الأطراف().
