By its resolution 61/275, the General Assembly approved the transfer of the internal Management Consulting Section in the Office of Internal Oversight Services to the Office of the Under-Secretary-General for Management, whereby the Management Support Service was established in the Office of the Under-Secretary-General.

16. In addition, with the transfer of the management consulting function, four posts (1 D-1, 1 P-5, 1 P-2 and 1 General Service (Other level)) would be transferred to the Office of the Under-Secretary-General for Management.
