إن مملكة البحرين إنما تواجه آثار التغير المناخي بطريقة مباشرة وغير مباشرة، وقد وضعت استراتيجية متكاملة للتنمية المستدامة تأخذ كل هذه العوامل في الحسبان، تجمع بين الالتزام بالمواثيق الدولية، خاصة المتعلقة بتغيير المناخ، وفي نفس الوقت تحقيق الرعاية المتكاملة، اقتصاديا واجتماعيا وصحيا وبشريا لأبنائها من أجل الرخاء والاستقرار.
