While CRC noted in 2007 efforts undertaken by Mali to enact laws and regulations to combat child abuse and neglect, and also to combat corporal punishment, it expressed concern that Malian law fails to prevent and penalize child abuse and neglect, as well as to prohibit corporal punishment in the home, in all alternative care settings and in penal institutions.

The Committee also welcomes the 2007 decision of the Jerusalem Magistrate Court (C.C. 3970/98 Yitzhak Goldstein v. The State of Israel (14.01.2007) condemning the Municipality of Tel-Aviv for its failure to remove a child from his home and to protect him from abuse and neglect despite evidence available to the Department of Welfare that the child was mistreated.
وترحب اللجنة أيضاً بقرار محكمة الصلح بالقدس الصادر عام 2007 (في القضية 3970/98 إسحاق غولديشتاين ضد دولة إسرائيل (14/1/2007))، الذي يدين بلدية تل أبيب لعدم إقدامها على إبعاد طفل عن بيته وعلى حمايته مما كان يتعرض له من إيذاء وإهمال رغم الأدلة المتاحة لدى إدارة الرعاية الاجتماعية والتي تثبت أن الطفل كان يتعرض لسوء معاملة.
