Indeed, consistent with the triennial comprehensive policy review of operational activities for development, least developed countries need continued priority assistance (see General Assembly resolution 62/208, para. 26).

Mr. Arsenault (Canada) said that progress in some areas of the 2004 triennial comprehensive policy review had been uneven, and his delegation wished to work with all Member States to fill those gaps, while building on progress in other areas to improve the efficiency and development impact of the United Nations at the country level.
