At the 565th meeting, on 27 February 2002, the Expert on Space Applications made a statement outlining the activities carried out and planned under the United Nations Programme on Space Applications.

The Office for Outer Space Affairs, within the framework of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, has submitted a proposal to modify a radio receiver and to establish a satellite-based warning broadcasting service for rural, remote and outer communities of small island developing States for the region of Asia and the Pacific.

Following the regional preparatory conference in Asia and the Pacific, which was held from 18 to 23 May 1998 at Kuala Lumpur, the Office for Outer Space Affairs will hold, within the framework of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, the following regional preparatory meetings for UNISPACE III:
٣٧٢ - وعقب الاجتماع التحضيري الاقليمي في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ ، الذي عقد من ٨١ الى ٣٢ أيار/مايو ٨٩٩١ في كوالالمبور ، سوف يعقد مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي ، في اطار برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للتطبيقات الفضائية ، الاجتماعات التحضيرية الاقليمية التالية الخاصة بمؤتمر يونيسبيس الثالث :

22. Within the framework of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, the Office for Outer Space Affairs assisted developing countries with establishing and implementing space technology applications.
٢٢ - قيل انه في اطار برنامج اﻷمم المتحدة للتطبيقات الفضائية ، قدم مكتب شؤون الفضاء الخارجي المساعدة الى البلدان النامية على ارساء وتنفيذ تطبيقات تكنولوجيا الفضاء .

In the period 1998-1999, the Office for Outer Space Affairs, within the framework of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, will continue to provide technical advisory services to the Government of the Republic of Korea in support of the activities of the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council.

In 1998 and beyond, the Office for Outer Space Affairs, within the framework of the United Nations Programme on Space Applications, will continue its collaboration with ESA in carrying out follow-up activities relating to the series of workshops on basic space science organized during the period 1991-1997.

At the 547th meeting, on 13 February 2001, the Expert on Space Applications made a statement outlining the activities carried out and planned under the United Nations Programme on Space Applications.

6. The United Nations/International Institute of Air and Space Law Workshop on Capacity-Building in Space Law, held in the Hague from 18 to 21 November 2002, was the first United Nations workshop on space law organized under the United Nations Programme on Space Applications.
6- وقد كانت حلقة العمل المشتركة بين الأمم المتحدة والمعهد الدولي لقانون الجو والفضاء بشأن بناء القدرات في مجال قانون الفضاء، التي عقدت في لاهاي من 18 إلى 21 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2002، أول حلقة عمل للأمم المتحدة بشأن قانون الفضاء تنظم في اطار برنامج الأمم المتحدة للتطبيقات الفضائية.
