5. Approves the instruments for gathering information on United Nations standards and norms related primarily to persons in custody, non-custodial sanctions and juvenile and restorative justice, as revised by the Intergovernmental Expert Group Meeting;
5- يوافق على الأدوات الخاصة بجمع المعلومات عن معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها المتعلقة أساسا بالأشخاص رهن الاحتجاز والجزاءات غير الاحتجازية وقضاء الأحداث والعدالة التصالحية، على النحو المنقّح في اجتماع فريق الخبراء الحكومي الدولي؛

Pursuant to that resolution, the information-gathering instruments for the first category of United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice were endorsed by the intersessional meeting of the Commission held on 4 October 2005 and were then transmitted to Member States for completion.
وعملا بذلك القرار، لقيت الأدوات الخاصة بجمع المعلومات عن الفئة الأولى من معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية تأييدا في الاجتماع ما بين الدورات الذي عقدته اللجنة في 4 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر 2005 وأحيلت بعدئذ إلى الدول الأعضاء لتكملتها.

It reviewed in detail and amended each of the draft information-gathering instruments on standards and norms related primarily to persons in custody, non-custodial sanctions and juvenile and restorative justice.

13. In concluding its discussion of the item, the Meeting agreed that the second category of standards and norms, related to legal, institutional and practical arrangements for international cooperation, should take the form of model treaties on international cooperation, and, as such, could not effectively be assessed through information-gathering instruments.
13- وقد اتفق الاجتماع، لدى اختتام مناقشته بشأن هذا البند، على أنه ينبغي أن توضع الفئة الثانية من المعايير والقواعد، المتعلقة بالترتيبات القانونية والمؤسسية والعملية للتعاون الدولي، في شكل معاهدات نموذجية بشأن التعاون الدولي، وبذلك لا يمكن تقييمها على نحو فعّال عن طريق الأدوات الخاصة بجمع المعلومات.

The experts also recommended that the ministries of foreign affairs, to which such information-gathering instruments were usually transmitted, in accordance with established practices regarding official communications to Member States, forward the section dealing with money-laundering to the relevant national authorities for its completion.
87- كما أوصى الخبراء بأن يعمد وزراء الخارجية، الذين تحال إليهم عادة هذه الأدوات الخاصة بجمع المعلومات وفقا للممارسات المرعية فيما يتعلق بالمراسلات الرسمية للدول الأعضاء، إلى إرسال القسم المتعلق بغسل الأموال إلى السلطات الوطنية المختصة لإنجازه.

6. Financing of an intergovernmental expert group to design information-gathering instruments on standards and norms related to legal, institutional and practical arrangements for international cooperation and standards and norms related primarily to crime prevention and victim issues had not been secured at the time of writing.
6- ولم يضمن، حتى وقت كتابة هذا التقرير، تمويل فريق خبراء حكومي دولي لتصميم الأدوات الخاصة بجمع المعلومات عن المعايير والقواعد المتعلقة بالترتيبات القانونية والمؤسسية والعملية للتعاون الدولي والمعايير والقواعد المتعلقة أساسا بمسائل منع الجريمة والمسائل الخاصة بالضحايا.

4. Expresses its gratitude to the Government of Canada for its financial support in the organization of the Intergovernmental Expert Group Meeting and to the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations, for assisting in the preparation of the information-gathering instruments for the first category of United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice;

4. The Meeting was opened by the Director of the Division of Treaty Affairs of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, who thanked the Government of Canada for its financial contribution, which had made possible the convening of the meeting, and the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control, affiliated with the United Nations, for designing the draft information-gathering instruments.

The draft information-gathering instruments for the first category of United Nations standards and norms in crime prevention and criminal justice -- related primarily to persons in custody, non-custodial sanctions and juveniles and restorative justice -- were revised and adopted during the Meeting and made available to the Commission at its thirteenth session as conference room papers.
ونُقّحت خلال الاجتماع واعتمدت مشاريع الأدوات الخاصة بجمع المعلومات عن الفئة الأولى من معايير الأمم المتحدة وقواعدها في مجال منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية، والمتعلقة أساسا بالأشخاص رهن الاحتجاز والجزاءات غير الاحتجازية وقضاء الأحداث والعدالة التصالحية - وقدمت مشاريع الأدوات في ورقات غرفة اجتماعات إلى اللجنة في دورتها الثالثة عشرة.

15. Requests the Secretary-General to convene a meeting of a group of experts, subject to the availability of extrabudgetary funds, in cooperation with the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme network, to design the instruments for gathering information on the following categories of United Nations standards and norms:
