The Advisory Committee, having enquired as to the reason for such an inclusion, was informed that the Office of the Special Envoy was established to offer the good offices of the Secretary-General in engaging the parties in the Sudan and South Sudan in reaching an agreement on outstanding issues related to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
وقد استفسرت اللجنة الاستشارية عن سبب إدراج هذه الاعتمادات، وأفيدت بأن مكتب المبعوث الخاص أنشئ لبذل المساعي الحميدة باسم الأمين العام من أجل إشراك الأطراف في السودان وجنوب السودان في التوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن المسائل المعلقة المتصلة باتفاق السلام الشامل.

37. During the period from 1 August to 31 December 2011, the Office of the Special Envoy facilitated the establishment and maintenance of good and peaceful neighbourly relations between the Sudan and South Sudan and provided support to parties in the Sudan on remaining issues.
37 - خلال الفترة من 1 آب/أغسطس إلى 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011، يَسِّرَ مكتب المبعوث الخاص إنشاء علاقات الجوار الطيبة والسلمية بين السودان وجنوب السودان والحفاظ عليها، كما قدم الدعم إلى الأطراف في السودان بشأن المسائل المتبقية.

7. To request all parties in the Sudan not to allow efforts aimed at achieving a political settlement of the crisis in Darfur to be undermined, nor to allow the creation of a climate of instability in the country that would threaten the prospects for achieving peace in Darfur or the south, or any efforts detrimental to the security situation on the ground;
7 - مطالبة كافة الأطراف في السودان بعدم إتاحة الفرصة لتقويض جهود التسوية السياسية لأزمة دارفور أو خلق مناخ من عدم الاستقرار في البلاد يهدد مستقبل جهود إحلال السلام في دارفور أو مسيرة السلام الجنوب أو أي أعمال من شأنها الإضرار بالأوضاع الأمنية على الأرض.

16. Following the exchange of letters between the Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council, the former appointed his Special Envoy and established the Office of the Special Envoy effective 1 August 2011 with the objective of encouraging the establishment of peaceful and neighbourly relations between the Sudan and South Sudan and supporting the parties in the Sudan on remaining issues.
16 - عقب تبادل الرسائل بين الأمين العام ورئيس مجلس الأمن، قام الأمين العام بتعيين مبعوثه الخاص وإنشاء مكتب المبعوث الخاص اعتباراً من 1 آب/أغسطس 2011 بهدف تشجيع إنشاء علاقات جوار سلمية بين السودان وجنوب السودان ودعم الأطراف في السودان بشأن المسائل المتبقية.

" (c) All parties in the Sudan to put an immediate end to the recruitment and use of child soldiers and children in armed conflict contrary to international law, bearing in mind that, under the Convention on the Rights of the Child and its Optional Protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict, children under 18 years of age are entitled to special protection;
" (ج) جميع الأطراف في السودان على وضع حد فوري لتجنيد الجنود الأطفال واستخدامهم واشتراك الأطفال في الصراعات المسلحة على نحو مخالف للقانون الدولي واضعة في الأذهان أن الأطفال دون سن 18 عاما يستحقون حماية خاصة بموجب اتفاقية حقوق الطفل وبروتوكولها الاختياري المتعلق باشتراك الأطفال في الصراعات المسلحة.

35. In the weeks ahead, and in close cooperation and coordination with the regional partners (Chad, Egypt, Eritrea, and the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya), the Special Envoys and their team will continue consultations with the parties in the Sudan and the region to prepare them for the substantive talks.
35 - وفي الأسابيع القادمة، وبالتعاون الوثيق والتنسيق مع الشركاء الإقليميين (تشاد ومصر وإريتريا والجماهيرية العربية الليبية)، سيواصل المبعوثان الخاصان وفريقهما المشاورات مع الأطراف في السودان وفي المنطقة لإعدادهم لإجراء المحادثات الموضوعية.
