إذا أوصى مجلس الأمن بقبول الدولة صاحبة الطلب في العضوية، تنظر الجمعية العامة في مسألة ما إذا كانت صحابة الطلب دولة محبة للسلم، قادرة على الوفاء بالالتزامات المنصوص عليها في الميثاق وراغبة فيه، ثم تبت بأغلبية ثلثي الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين في طلب العضوية الذي قدمته.

56- تنص المادة على ما يلي: " متى اعتمد اقتراح ما أو رُفض، لا يجوز إعادة النظر فيه في الدورة نفسها ما لم تُقرِّر اللجنة ذلك بأغلبية ثلثي الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين.

13. Those candidates who obtain the highest number of votes and a majority of votes in the General Assembly of the members present and voting will be considered as elected and thereby appointed by the Assembly to the Dispute Tribunal.
13 - والمرشحون الذين يحصلون على أكبر عدد من الأصوات وأغلبية أصوات الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين في الجمعية العامة يُعتبرون منتخبين ومن ثم تعيّنهم الجمعية العامة في محكمة المنازعات.

12. Those candidates who obtain the highest number of votes and a majority of votes in the General Assembly of the members present and voting will be considered as elected and thereby appointed by the Assembly to the Appeals Tribunal.
12 - والمرشحون الذين يحصلون على أكبر عدد من الأصوات وأغلبية أصوات الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين في الجمعية العامة يُعتبرون منتخبين ومن ثم تعيّنهم الجمعية في محكمة الاستئناف.

13. Balloting shall continue in accordance with the rules of procedure until as many candidates as are required for the seats on the Appeals Tribunal to be filled have obtained, in one or more ballots, a majority of votes of the members present and voting.
13 - وتستمر عملية الاقتراع وفقا للنظام الداخلي إلى أن يحصل العدد المطلوب من المرشحين للمقاعد في محكمة الاستئناف، في اقتراع واحد أو أكثر، على أغلبية أصوات الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين.

Also, balloting shall continue, in accordance with the rules of procedure of the General Assembly, until as many candidates as are required for the full-time and half-time seats on the Dispute Tribunal to be filled have obtained, in one or more ballots, a majority of the votes of the members present and voting.
كما وتستمر عملية الاقتراع وفقا للنظام الداخلي للجمعية العامة إلى أن يحصل العدد المطلوب من المرشحين لمقاعد القضاة المتفرغين وغير المتفرغين في محكمة المنازعات، في اقتراع واحد أو أكثر، على أغلبية أصوات الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين.

A representative may appeal against the ruling of the President -- this is their right -- and the appeal shall be immediately put to the vote and the President's ruling shall stand unless overruled by a majority of the members present and voting.
ويمكن لأي ممثل أن يطعن في قرار الرئيس - وهذا حق للأعضاء - والطعن يُطرح للتصويت فوراً، ويبقى قرار الرئيس قائماً ما لم تبطله أغلبية الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين.

18 - وتستمر عملية الاقتراع وفقا للنظام الداخلي إلى أن يحصل العدد المطلوب من المرشحين للمقاعد في محكمة الاستئناف، في اقتراع واحد أو أكثر، على أغلبية أصوات الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين.

The rule reads as follows: " During the discussion of any matter, a representative may rise to a point of order, and the point of order shall be immediately decided by the Chairman in accordance with the rules of procedure. A representative may appeal against the ruling of the Chairman. The appeal shall be immediately put to the vote, and the Chairman's ruling shall stand unless overruled by a majority of the members present and voting.
28- تنص المادة على ما يلي: " لأي ممثل أن يثير نقطة نظام أثناء مناقشة أي مسألة، ويبت الرئيس في هذه النقطة النظامية فورا، وفقا لأحكام النظام الداخلي، وللممثل أن يطعن في قرار الرئيس، فيطرح الطعن للتصويت فورا، ويبقى قرار الرئيس قائما ما لم تبطله أغلبية الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين.

(b) Decisions of committees shall be made by a majority of the members present and voting (rule 125); for the purpose of these rules, the phrase " members present and voting " means members casting an affirmative or negative vote.
(ب) تتخذ اللجان قراراتها بأغلبية الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين (المادة 125)؛ ولأغراض هذا النظام، يُقصد بعبارة " الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين " الأعضاء الذين يدلون بأصواتهم إيجاباً أو سلباً.

6. If no candidate is recommended on the basis of the first series of ballots, after appropriate consultations a second series shall be held among all the candidates, with a two-thirds majority of the members present and voting required for a recommendation.
6- إذا لم يوصَ بتعيين أي مرشّح على أساس السلسلة الأولى من الاقتراعات، تجرى، بعد اجراء المشاورات المناسبة سلسلة ثانية من الاقتراعات بين جميع المرشّحين، ويلزم لصدور توصية بالتعيين أن يحصل المرشّح على أغلبية ثلثي أصوات الأعضاء الحاضرين المصوّتين.
