States should also understand that they are required to prevent their nationals from joining or associating with listed individuals and entities to promote violence.

The Committee, in principle, was in agreement with the recommendations aimed at improving the efficiency of the arms embargo by targeting those who supported terrorist activities, especially those whom States believed to have conducted bombings and killings in the name of listed individuals and entities.

The Monitoring Team has continued its work with the private sector in developing a new format for the Al-Qaida Sanctions List, which would improve the presentation and dissemination of the List, facilitate more accurate identification of listed individuals and entities, and provide hyperlinks to the narrative summaries of the reasons for listing.
39 - وواصل فريق الرصد عمله مع القطاع الخاص في صياغة شكل جديد لقائمة الجزاءات المفروضة على تنظيم القاعدة، الأمر الذي سيتيح تحسين عرض القائمة ونشرها، وييسر تحديد هوية الأفراد والكيانات المدرجة أسماؤهم في القائمة بدقة أكبر، ويوفر روابط إليكترونية مع الموجزات السردية لأسباب الإدراج في القائمة.

The Committee requests that the Monitoring Team carry this suggestion forward by collecting and analysing information on the impact of the sanctions regime on the threat to international peace and security posed by Al-Qaida and its affiliates, and also the impact of the regime specifically on listed individuals and entities.
