3. Invites Governments and the United Nations International Drug Control Programme to attach high priority to the improvement of the coordination of United Nations activities related to the world drug problem so as to avoid duplication of such activities, strengthen efficiency and accomplish the goals approved by Governments;
3 - تدعو الحكومات وبرنامج الأمم المتحدة للمراقبة الدولية للمخدرات إلى إيلاء أولوية عليا لتحسين تنسيق أنشطة الأمم المتحدة المتصلة بمشكلة المخدرات العالمية بغية تجنب ازدواجية هذه الأنشطة، وتعزيز كفاءتها وإنجاز الأهداف التي أقرتها الحكومات؛

It called on the United Nations International Drug Control Programme to continue to work closely with countries where drug injection is a driving force behind HIV/AIDS and other diseases.
ودعت برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمراقبة الدولية للمخدرات إلى مواصلة العمل في تعاون وثيق مع البلدان التي يكون فيها الحقن بالمخدرات إحدى القوى الدافعة للإصابة بفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية/الإيدز وغيره من الأمراض.

Calls upon the Executive Director of the United Nations International Drug Control Programme to complete the implementation of the recommendations contained in the above-mentioned reports and to develop existing reforms, including the development of synergies between the different elements of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime;

51 - أكدت بعثة تقييم للمانحين أوفدها برنامج الأمم المتحدة للمراقبة الدولية للمخدرات إلى أفغانستان في نيسان/أبريل - أيار/مايو 2001 النتائج العامة التي توصل إليها الاستقصاء السابق للتقييم الذي أجراه البرنامج المذكور في وقت سابق من السنة وتفيد بأن المرسوم الصادر في تموز/يوليه 2000 بحظر زراعة خشخاش الأفيون قد تم تنفيذه خلال موسم النمو من تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2000 إلى نيسان/أبريل 2001.
