379. The Council of the League of Arab States at ministerial level studied the subject of Arab national security and adopted resolution 6790, which stipulates:
379 - تدارس مجلس الجامعة على المستوى الوزاري موضوع الأمن القومي العربي وأصدر بشأنه القرار رقم 6790 الذي نص على ما يلي:

1. Agreement to include the subject of Arab national security as a permanent item on the agenda of the Council of the League;

We affirm that Egypt is working in coordination with members of the GCC with a view to protecting Arab national security and ensuring that any such arrangements -- if they come into existence -- will represent true security guarantees for all parties.

10. We have restored to the forefront of Joint Arab Action the issue of Arab national security in its broad conception and multiple dimensions, in the light of the changes and events going on in our region and around us at regional level.
10 - كما أعدنا إلى واجهة العمل العربي المشترك قضية الأمن القومي العربي بمفهومه الواسع، وأبعاده المختلفة، في ضوء المتغيرات والأحداث التي تجرى في منطقتنا ومن حولنا على المستوى الإقليمي.

We are holding this summit under the slogan " Solidarity for a Better Future. " We aspire to translate this slogan into tangible measures that move us beyond the current critical stage in inter-Arab relations to meet the challenges that are seriously endangering Arab national security.
تنعقد هذه القمة تحت شعار " التضامن من أجل مستقبل أفضل " ، ونتطلع إلى ترجمة هذا الشعار إلى خطوات ملموسة لتجاوز المرحلة الحرجة التي تمر بها العلاقات العربية - العربية، ومواجهة التحديات التي تواجه الأمن القومي العربي وتعرضه لأخطار جسيمة.

The second challenge endangering Arab national security is the Syrian tragedy. We must meet this challenge by seeking to end the crisis through a negotiated political solution that achieves the aspirations of the Syrian people to enjoy freedom and democracy while preserving the independence, national sovereignty and territorial integrity of fraternal Syria.
ثاني هذه التحديات التي تعرض الأمن القومي العربي للخطر تتمثل في المأساة السورية، وعلينا مواجهه هذا التحدي بضرورة السعي لإنهاء الأزمة وإيجاد حل سياسي تفاوضي لها يحقق تطلعات الشعب السوري للتمتع بالحرية والديمقراطية، ويحافظ على استقلال سورية الشقيقة وسيادتها الوطنية وسلامة أراضيها.

They commended the prudence, diligence and competence with which His Majesty administered the working sessions, which had a profound influence on the success of the Summit and on the culmination of the meetings in significant results which are conducive to promoting the progress of joint Arab action, achieving the supreme interests of the Arab Nation and helping to maintain pan-Arab security.
