The Department of Safety and Security is working closely with the Departments of Peacekeeping and Field Support to implement the safety and security policies and procedures established through the Inter-Agency Security Management Network.

It is suggested that once the endorsement of the Policy Committee is received it should be put forward by the Secretary-General to the United Nations System Chief Executives Board for Coordination for further deliberation and the agreement of its High-level Committee on Management, including, where appropriate, the endorsement of the Human Resources Network and the InterAgency Security Management Network.
