88. Also at its 47th meeting, on 26 July, on the proposal of the Vice-President (Mexico), the Council took note of the report of the Secretary-General on assistance to the Palestinian people (A/67/84-E/2012/68).

Senegal welcomed the inclusion of the adoption of the African Union Convention for the Protection and Assistance of Internally Displaced Persons in Africa in the Report of the Secretary-General on assistance to refugees, returnees and displaced persons in Africa (A/67/323) given that the African continent hosted a quarter of the global refugee population.
44 - وأردفت قائلة أن السنغال ترحب بإدراج اعتماد اتفاقية الاتحاد الأفريقي لحماية ومساعدة المشردين داخليا في أفريقيا في تقرير الأمين العام بشأن تقديم المساعدة إلى اللاجئين والعائدين والمشردين في أفريقيا (A/67/323)، بال نظرا إلى لأن القارة الأفريقية تستضيف ربع اللاجئين في العالم.

It had before it the following documents: (a) Report of the Secretary-General on the implementation of the Charter of the United Nations related to assistance to third States affected by the application of sanctions (A/56/303); (b) Note by the Secretary-General on assistance to third States affected by the application of sanctions (E/2002/65).

In his statements, he had also stressed the enormous burden that the current system placed on individual special rapporteurs, in terms of both time and resources, and the report of the Secretary-General on assistance to special rapporteurs of the International Law Commission (A/64/283) provided additional food for thought.
وأضاف أنه شدد أيضاً، في البيانات التي أدلى بها، على العبء الهائل الذي يضعه النظام الحالي على كاهل كل مقرر خاص منفرداً، من حيث الوقت والموارد، وأن تقرير الأمين العام بشأن تقديم المساعدة إلى المقررين الخاصين للجنة القانون الدولي (A/64/283) يطرح مسائل إضافية يتعين التفكير فيها.
