Finally, the Secretary-General would be requested to submit information received from the International Committee of the Red Cross on activities undertaken by the Committee and other relevant bodies with regard to the protection of the environment in times of armed conflict in the report to be prepared under paragraph 5 of the draft resolution.
وأخيرا يُطلب الى اﻷمين العام تقديم المعلومات المتلقاة من لجنة الصليب اﻷحمر الدولية عن اﻷنشطة التي تضطلع بها اللجنة وغيرها من الهيئات ذات الصلة، بشأن حماية البيئة في أوقات النزاع المسلح، بتضمينها في التقرير الذي سيجري إعداده بموجب الفقرة ٥ من مشروع القرار.

2. V.55. The activities of the Commission in 1998-1999 are, as indicated in paragraph 18.11, in conformity with the overall objectives of the medium-term plan for the period 1998-2001.3 However, the reform process has led to a strengthening, reorganizing, streamlining or reduction of activities under various subprogrammes.
