The need to improve the collection of FDI data was emphasized, a successful example of this work being that carried out by UNCTAD in collaboration with the secretariat of the Association of South-East Asian Nations.

UNCTAD, in cooperation with WTO and the United Nations Environment Programme, has launched a series of new projects aimed at, inter alia, enhancing the capacity of developing countries for policy-making and negotiations on key trade and environment-related issues.

Links with related activities at the international or regional level: The International Task Force on Commodity Risk Management, led by the World Bank; the Sustainable Commodity Initiative (SCI) launched by UNCTAD in cooperation with the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD).

25. A training course on the implementation of competition law for high-level officials and competition experts was held by UNCTAD in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance of Angola from 26 to 30 January 2004 in Luanda.
25- عقد الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع وزارة المالية في أنغولا دورة تدريبية بشأن تنفيذ قوانين المنافسة لمسؤولين رفيعي المستوى وخبراء معنيين بالمنافسة في الفترة من 26 إلى 30 كانون الثاني/يناير 2004 في لاواندا.

(a) A national seminar on competition law and policy within the framework of globalization was held by UNCTAD in cooperation with the Government of Mauritania in Nouakchott from 20 to 22 January 2002;
(أ) عقد الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع حكومة موريتانيا حلقة دراسية وطنية في نواكشوط بشأن قانون وسياسة المنافسة في إطار العولمة في الفترة من 20 إلى 22 كانون الثاني/يناير 2002؛

The Second Lusophone Conference on Competition was organized by UNCTAD in cooperation with the Portuguese competition authorities from 29 to 30 May in Lisbon (Portugal) and was attended by representatives of eight Portuguese-speaking countries.
21- ونظَّم الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع السلطات البرتغالية المعنية بالمنافسة المؤتمر الثاني بشأن المنافسة للبلدان الناطقة بالبرتغالية عقد في لشبونة (البرتغال) يومي 29 و30 أيار/مايو وحضره ممثلو ثمانية بلدان ناطقة بالبرتغالية.

(d) Two national stakeholders meetings on competition law and policy were held by UNCTAD in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Mozambique in Maputo on 24-25 June and 22-23 August 2005.
(د) اجتماعان وطنيان لأصحاب المصلحة بشأن قوانين وسياسات المنافسة عقدهما الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع وزارة الصناعة والتجارة في موزامبيق بمابوتو في 24 و25 حزيران/يونيه و22 و23 آب/أغسطس 2005.

Speakers acknowledged the work undertaken by UNCTAD, in cooperation with the World Bank, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and within the mandates of General Assembly resolution 64/192, in preparing principles for responsible investment in agriculture for sustainable development.

(a) A stakeholders' workshop on the review of Kenya's competition law and policy and a training course on investigation tools for case handlers were held by UNCTAD in cooperation with the Monopolies and Price Commission of Kenya on 25 February and on 1 to 4 March 2005 in Nairobi and Nanyuki (Kenya).

The simulation of the anticipated trade effects of preference erosion on selected products was created via WITS (World Integrated Trade Solution), a tool developed by UNCTAD in cooperation with the World Bank.
أما محاكاة الآثار التجارية التي يُتوقع أن يسفر عنها تآكل الأفضليات في منتجات مختارة فهي محاكاة أُنشئت بواسطة البرنامج الحاسوبي ويتس (WITS) (حل التجارة المتكاملة العالمي)، وهذا البرنامج هو أداة طورها الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع البنك الدولي.

These and other, related questions were at the heart of a consultative meeting, Liberalization of EGS and its Contribution to Fulfilling the MDGs in Asia and the Pacific, organized by UNCTAD in cooperation with ESCAP in Bangkok, on 19 to 20 October 2006.

21. A number of delegates appreciated the role played by UNCTAD in collaboration with the African Union in supporting the organization of an African Trade Ministers Meeting on the implementation of the African Union's Action Plan on Boosting Intra-African Trade during UNCTAD XIII in Doha, Qatar.
21 - وأعرب عدد من المندوبين عن تقديرهم للدور الذي اضطلع به الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع الاتحاد الأفريقي في دعم تنظيم اجتماع وزراء التجارة الأفارقة بشأن تنفيذ خطة عمل الاتحاد الأفريقي المتعلقة بتعزيز التجارة داخل أفريقيا وذلك خلال انعقاد الأونكتاد الثالث عشر في الدوحة بقطر.

21. A number of delegates appreciated the role played by UNCTAD in collaboration with the African Union in supporting the organization of an African Trade Ministers Meeting on the implementation of the African Union's Action Plan on Boosting Intra-African Trade during UNCTAD XIII in Doha, Qatar.
21- وأعرب عدد من المندوبين عن تقديرهم للدور الذي اضطلع به الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع الاتحاد الأفريقي في دعم تنظيم اجتماع وزراء التجارة الأفارقة بشأن تنفيذ خطة عمل الاتحاد الأفريقي المتعلقة بتعزيز التجارة داخل أفريقيا وذلك خلال انعقاد الأونكتاد الثالث عشر في الدوحة بقطر.

In addition, UNCTAD, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) under a project financed by the UK Department for International Cooperation, has developed a partial equilibrium model - the " Agriculture Trade Policy Simulation Model " (ATPSM2002).
وبالإضافة إلى ذلك قام الأونكتاد بالتعاون مع منظمة الأغذية والزراعة في إطار برنامج تموله وزارة التعاون الدولي في المملكة المتحدة، بوضع نموذج للتوازن الجزئي - ألا وهو " نموذج محاكاة السياسة التجارية الزراعية " .

In the area of consumer protection, two national workshops on consumer protection issues were held by UNCTAD together with the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Bhutan from 1 to 3 February and from 28 to 29 June in Paro, Thimphu and Chukha Dzongkhag (Bhutan).
