The SBSTA decided to consider, at its eighteenth session, the results of this workshop with the aim of completing the technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol.
وقررت الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية أن تنظر في دورتها الثامنة عشرة في نتائج حلقة العمل هذه بغية استكمال الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديلات بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو.

Decided to consider, at its eighteenth session, the results of the workshop, with the aim of completing the technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol (see FCCC/SBSTA/2002/6, para. 24 (k));

Having considered decisions 21/CP.7, 23/CP.7 and -/CP.9 (technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol),
وقد نظر في المقررات 21/م أ-7 و23/م أ-7 و-/م أ-9 (الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديلات التي تجري بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو)،

The SBSTA took note of the report on the first workshop on adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol (FCCC/SBSTA/2002/INF.5), including the draft technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol contained in the annex to that report;
(و) أحاطت الهيئة الفرعية علماً بتقرير حلقة العمل الأولى بشأن التعديلات بمقتضى الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو (FCCC/SBSTA/2002/INF.5)، بما في ذلك مشروع الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديل بمقتضى الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو، الواردة في مرفق ذلك التقرير؛

Decides to incorporate the technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol, contained below in the annex to this decision, into the annex of draft decision -/CMP.1 (Article 5.2) attached to decision 21/CP.7;1

Decides to incorporate the technical guidance on methodologies for adjustment under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol, contained below in the annex to this decision, into the annex of draft decision -/CMP.1 (Article 5.2) attached to decision 21/CP.7;1
1- يقرر إدراج الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديل بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو الواردة في مرفق هذا المقرر في مرفق مشروع المقرر -/م أ إ-1 (المادة 5-2) المرفق بالمقرر 21/م أ-7()؛

1. Recommends that the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol, at its first session, adopt draft decision -/CMP.1 (technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol) below;
1- يوصي مؤتمر الأطراف بوصفه اجتماع الأطراف في بروتوكول كيوتو، بأن يعتمد في دورته الأولى مشروع المقرر -/م أإ-1 أدناه (الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديلات التي تجري بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو)،

The Conference, by its decision 21/CP.7, had requested the SBSTA to complete technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol for consideration by the Conference at its ninth session, with a view to recommending, at that session, such technical guidance for adoption by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol at its first session.
108- وبموجب المقرر 21/م أ-7، طلب المؤتمر إلى الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتقنية أن تستكمل الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديل بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو كي ينظر فيها مؤتمر الأطراف في دورته التاسعة، بغية التوصية في تلك الدورة بأن يقوم مؤتمر الأطراف العامل بوصفه اجتماع الأطراف في بروتوكول كيوتو في دورته الأولى باعتماد تلك الإرشادات التقنية.

Adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol: The subprogramme, in cooperation with the METH subprogramme, completed its work on the technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol, including guidance for adjustments for LULUCF.
86- التعديلات المقررة بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو: استكمل البرنامج الفرعي، بالتعاون مع البرنامج الفرعي " الأساليب " ، عمله بخصوص الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديلات المقررة بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو، بما فيها الإرشادات من أجل إدخال تعديلات على استخدام الأراضي وتغيير استخدام الأراضي والحراجة.

The SBSTA may wish to consider the information contained in this note and forward a draft decision to the COP on the technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol including a draft decision for adoption by the COP/MOP at its first session.
4- قد ترغب الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتكنولوجية في النظر في المعلومات الواردة في هذه المذكرة وإحالة مشروع مقرر إلى مؤتمر الأطراف بشأن الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديلات بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو، بما في ذلك مشروع مقرر يعتمده مؤتمر الأطراف العامل بوصفه اجتماع الأطراف في دورته الأولى.

At its 8th meeting, on 12 December, the Conference, acting upon a recommendation of the SBSTA at its eighteenth session (FCCC/SBSTA/2003/10/Add.2, pages 8 - 27), adopted decision 20/CP.9 entitled " technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol " (FCCC/CP/2003/6/Add.2).
109- وفي الجلسة الثامنة، التي عقدت في 12 كانون الأول/ديسمبر، قام المؤتمر، بناء على توصية من الهيئة الفرعية للمشورة العلمية والتقنية في دورتها الثامنة عشرة (FCCC/SBSTA/2003/10/Add.2، الصفحات من 9 إلى 33)، باعتماد المقرر 20/م أ-9 المعنون " الإرشادات التقنية بشأن منهجيات التعديلات التي تجرى بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 5 من بروتوكول كيوتو " (FCCC/CP/2003/6/Add.2).

This note should be based on the technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol adopted by draft decision -/CMP.1 (technical guidance on methodologies for adjustments under Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Kyoto Protocol) attached to decision 20/CP.9, and the experience gained in the application of that guidance in response to the request contained in decision 20/CP.9.
