60. The SBI continued its consideration of modalities for expediting the continued issuance, transfer and acquisition of joint implementation (JI) emission reduction units (ERUs), in accordance with decision 1/CMP.8, paragraph 16.

As requested at CMP 8, SBI 39 started to consider modalities for expediting the continued issuance, transfer and acquisition of ERUs under Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol for the second commitment period.

SBI 39 initiated its consideration of the modalities for expediting the continued issuance, transfer and acquisition of ERUs under Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol for the second commitment period.

51. CMP 8, by decision 1/CMP.8, requested the SBI to consider modalities for expediting the continued issuance, transfer and acquisition of emission reduction units (ERUs) under Article 6 of the Kyoto Protocol for the second commitment period.
51- وطلب مؤتمر الأطراف/اجتماع الأطراف بموجب مقرره 1/م أإ-8، في دورته الثامنة، إلى الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ أن تنظر في طرائق الإسراع بتواصل إصدار ونقل حيازة واحتياز وحدات خفض الانبعاثات في إطار المادة 6 من بروتوكول كيوتو لفترة الالتزام الثانية().

52. Action: The SBI will be invited to consider the modalities for expediting the continued issuance, transfer and acquisition of ERUs and agree on how ERUs for the second commitment period can be issued in the absence of an established assigned amount for the second commitment period with a view to recommend a draft decision on this matter for consideration and adoption by the CMP.
52- الإجراء: ستدعى الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ إلى النظر في طرائق الإسراع بتواصل إصدار ونقل حيازة واحتياز وحدات خفض الانبعاثات والتوصل إلى اتفاق بشأن كيفية إصدار وحدات خفض الانبعاثات لفترة الالتزام الثانية في حال عدم وجود كمية مسندة مقررة لفترة الالتزام الثانية بغية التوصية بمشروع مقرر بشأن هذه المسألة لكي ينظر فيه مؤتمر الأطراف/اجتماع الأطراف ويعتمده.
