In its resolution 59/248 on the World Survey, the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to update it for consideration by the Assembly at its sixty-fourth session and noted that it should continue to focus on selected emerging development themes that have an impact on the role of women in the economy.
وطلبت الجمعية إلى الأمين العام في قرارها 59/248 المتعلق بالدراسة الاستقصائية العالمية استكمال هذه الدراسة لكي تنظر فيها الجمعية خلال دورتها الرابعة والستين، ولاحظت أنه ينبغي لهذه الدراسة أن تواصل التركيز على طائفة مختارة من المواضيع الإنمائية المستجدة التي لها أثر في دور المرأة في الاقتصاد.

2 - تطلب إلى الأمين العام أن يستكمل الدراسة الاستقصائية العالمية عن دور المرأة في التنمية لتنظر فيها الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والسبعين، مشيرة إلى ضرورة أن تواصل الدراسة التركيز على المواضيع الإنمائية المستجدة التي لها تأثير في دور المرأة في الاقتصاد على الصعيد الوطني والإقليمي والدولي.
