- On 28 May 2004, at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa, at a ceremony attended by representatives of the international community, the Chadian mediator and the news media, the Government and the armed groups signed an agreement on the establishment of a Ceasefire Commission and the deployment of observers.
- وقّعت الحكومة وحاملو السلاح بدارفور في 28 أيار/مايو 2004 بمقر مفوضية الاتحاد الأفريقي بأديس أبابا اتفاقا لإنشاء لجنة وقف إطلاق النار ونشر المراقبين وذلك في حفل حضره ممثلو المجتمع الدولي والوسيط التشادي ووسائل الإعلام.

The leaders of those groups signed the Declaration of Commitment at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa.
ووقع قادة تلك الفصائل على إعلان الالتزام بالاتفاقية (Declaration of Commitment) بمقر الاتحاد الأفريقي بأديس أبابا في حزيران/يونيه 2006.
