The present background document and the report of the Malbun workshop (HRI/ICM/2003/4; see also A/58/123, annex) was considered by the second intercommittee meeting and by the fifteenth meeting of chairpersons of human rights treaty bodies, convened in Geneva from 18 to 20 June and 23 to 27 June 2003, respectively (A/58/350).

16. Participants reaffirmed the recommendation of the second inter-committee meeting that all treaty bodies should consider introducing procedures to follow up their concluding observations or recommendations.

10. In accordance with the request made by the second inter-committee meeting and the fifteenth meeting of chairpersons, draft guidelines for an expanded core document and harmonized guidelines for reporting to all treaty bodies are being prepared by the secretariat.
10- وتقوم الأمانة، تلبية لطلب الاجتماع الثاني المشترك بين اللجان والاجتماع الخامس عشر للرؤساء، بإعداد مشروع مبادئ توجيهية لوضع وثيقة أساسية موسعة ومبادئ توجيهية لنظام موحد لتقديم التقارير إلى كافة الهيئات المنشأة بموجب المعاهدات.

They discussed the outcome of the second inter-committee meeting (see paragraph 64 below) and adopted recommendations relating to the issue of treaty body reform and the Secretary - General's proposals (see chapter I, section G).
