These had included the Ministerial Meeting of States Parties to the 1951 Convention and 1967 Protocol in December, at which an important Declaration had been adopted.

A meeting of ministers from African countries on 14 December 2001 in Geneva, immediately following the Ministerial Meeting of States Parties, will offer a valuable occasion to discuss concrete responses to protracted refugee situations in Africa, and to improve refugee protection on the continent.

In that connection, we note with satisfaction the Ministerial Meeting of States Parties to the CTBT held in New York within the framework of the general debate of the General Assembly at its sixty-third session and the regional meeting on the CTBT held in San Jose, Costa Rica, on 29 and 30 September to achieve the Treaty's early entry into force.
وفي ذلك الصدد، نلاحظ مع شعور بالارتياح الاجتماع الوزاري للدول الأطراف في معاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب النووية الذي عقد في نيويورك في إطار المناقشة العامة للجمعية العامة في دورتها الثالثة والستين والاجتماع الجاري بشأن المعاهدة الذي يعقد في سان خوسية، بكوستاريكا، في 29 و30 أيلول/سبتمبر بغية تحقيق بدء النفاذ المبكر للمعاهدة.

These activities flow from the Declaration adopted unanimously by States Parties to the 1951 Convention and/or its 1967 Protocol at the Ministerial Meeting of States Parties, organized jointly by Switzerland and UNHCR on 12 - 13 December 2001, to commemorate the Convention's 50th anniversary.
وتنبثق هذه الأنشطة من الإعلان الذي اعتمدته بالإجماع الدول الأطراف في اتفاقية عام 1951 و/أو بروتوكولها الصادر عام 1967 في الاجتماع الوزاري للدول الأطراف الذي اشتركت في عقده سويسرا ومفوضية الأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين في 12 و13 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2001، احتفالاً بذكرى مرور خمسين سنة على عقد الاتفاقية(2).
