In particular, the study aimed to assist participating States in developing an action plan for country-led and country-based, integrated and coordinated technical assistance that addresses the identified technical assistance needs and considers donor assistance in furthering implementation of the Convention.

With the anticipated launch of the comprehensive self-assessment checklist at the third session of the Conference of the States Parties, a more detailed analysis will allow for regional and thematic programmes to tailor their deliverables in a manner that takes the identified technical assistance needs into account fully.
