The International Development Strategy for the Fourth United Nations Development Decade had also singled it out as a special area of priority, and Agenda 21 had devoted an entire chapter to combating poverty.
كما أن الاستراتيجية الانمائية الدولية لعقد اﻷمم المتحدة الانمائي الرابع خصت القضاء على الفقر بالذكر باعتباره مجالا خاصا من مجالات اﻷولوية، وكرس جدول أعمال القرن ٢١ فصلا كاملا لمكافحة الفقر.

General Assembly resolution 45/199 of 21 December 1990, which contains the International Development Strategy for the Fourth United Nations Development Decade;
قرار الجمعية العامة ٤٥/١٩٩ المؤرخ ٢١ كانون اﻷول/ديسمبر ١٩٩٠، الذي يتضمن الاستراتيجية الانمائية الدولية لعقد اﻷمم المتحدة الانمائي الرابع؛

They felt that existing regional experiences would serve well as the building blocks to the global stage. It was agreed to continue a process of consultations on the matter, drawing on experience gained in the preparation of the last International Development Strategy.

The shortfall in the resources required for the long-term goals set out in the International Development Strategy was already jeopardizing the implementation of the Strategy.
٢٢ - وقالت إن نقص الموارد اللازمة لتحقيق اﻷهداف الطويلة اﻷجل المحددة في الاستراتيجية الانمائية الدولية قد بدأ يعرض تنفيذ الاستراتيجية للخطر.

The integration of those functions into the Department is in line with the emphasis placed in the International Development Strategy for the Fourth United Nations Development Decade on the need for an integrated approach to economic growth and human welfare and to the eradication of poverty and hunger as one of the key objectives to be attained through such an integrated approach.
ويتمشى ادماج هذه المهام في الادارة مع التركيز الذي وضعته الاستراتيجية الانمائية الدولية لعقد اﻷمم المتحدة الانمائي الرابع على الحاجة الى اتباع نهج متكامل إزاء النمو الاقتصادي والرفاه الانساني، وإزاء القضاء على الفقر والجوع كأحد اﻷهداف الرئيسية المتعين تحقيقها من خلال هذا النهج المتكامل.

First, our delegation notes the presence of a link between the United Nations International Development Strategy for the 1990s, the emerging Agenda for Development and Agenda 21, as well as other special interregional, regional and sectoral United Nations development programmes.
أولا، يـــلاحظ وفــدنا وجود صلة ما بين الاستراتيجية الانمائية الدولية لﻷمم المتحدة للتسعينات وخطة للتنمية وجدول أعمال القرن ٢١ البازغين، علاوة على برامج اﻷمم المتحدة الانمائية الخاصة الاقاليمية والاقليمية والقطاعية اﻷخرى.

Progress towards sustainable development is essential in achieving the goals and objectives of the IDS and the Declaration.
وإن إحراز تقدم نحو تحقيق التنمية المستدامة هو أمر أساسي لبلوغ غايات وأهداف الاستراتيجية الانمائية الدولية واﻹعلان.
