They stressed the importance of cooperation between the Security Council and the Economic and Social Council in solving the problems of Guinea-Bissau, and called on the country's Government to fully endorse the partnership approach defined by the Ad Hoc Advisory Group of the Economic and Social Council.

The above-mentioned mission of the Security Council to West Africa visited Guinea-Bissau on 27 and 28 June 2004, jointly with a mission of the Ad Hoc Advisory Group of the Economic and Social Council and the Group of Friends of Guinea-Bissau.
وقامت بعثة مجلس الأمن المذكور أعلاه الموفدة إلى غرب أفريقيا بزيارة غينيا - بيساو في يومي 27 و 28 حزيران/يونيه 2004، بالاشتراك مع بعثة موفدة من الفريق الاستشاري المخصص التابع للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي وفريق أصدقاء غينيا - بيساو.

It is based mainly on a joint mission of the Economic and Social Council Ad Hoc Advisory Group and the Security Council and highlights, in particular, the promising developments in the economic, social and political situation of the country following legislative elections in March 2004.

The mission welcomed the opportunity to undertake this visit in conjunction with the Ad Hoc Advisory Group of the Economic and Social Council, and it looks forward to continuing its collaboration so that immediate and medium-term measures provide the basis on which long-term development can occur.
