The Department for Disarmament Affairs has focused its policy orientation and strengthened its human capacity to assist States in Latin America and the Caribbean in the field of disarmament and development, with the aim of offering improved assistance to States in the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals.
12 - وقد ركزت إدارة شؤون نزع السلاح توجيه سياساتها وعززت قدراتها البشرية لمساعدة الدول في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي في مجال نزع السلاح والتنمية، بغية تقديم مساعدة أفضل إلى الدول في تنفيذ الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية.

These factsheets will serve as a resource tool for obtaining reports on legal instruments and information on the status of treaty ratification and other security-related issues, as well as for the preparation of training manuals for courses to be jointly developed with the University for Peace and the Agency for the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons in Latin America and the Caribbean in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation education.
