The Subcommittee agreed that the general exchange of information on national legislation relevant to the peaceful exploration and use of outer space had provided States with a comprehensive overview of the current status of national space laws and regulations and assisted States in understanding the different approaches taken at the national level to the development of national space-related regulatory frameworks.
167- واتفقت اللجنة الفرعية على أنَّ التبادل العام للمعلومات عن التشريعات الوطنية ذات الصلة باستكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في الأغراض السلمية يوفّر للدول لمحة عامة شاملة عن الحالة الراهنة للقوانين واللوائح التنظيمية الوطنية المتعلقة بالفضاء، ويساعد الدول على فهم مختلف النهوج المتبعة على الصعيد الوطني في صوغ أطر تنظيم رقابي وطنية بشأن الفضاء.

The Scientific and Technical Subcommittee had begun considering items on space debris and recent developments in global navigation satellite systems, and the Legal Subcommittee had begun considering items on capacity-building in space law and on general exchange of information on relevant national legislation, all of which were of crucial importance.

resolution 62/217, the Legal Subcommittee had, in accordance with the multi-year workplan adopted by the Committee at its fiftieth session, considered the general exchange of information on national legislation relevant to the peaceful exploration and use of outer space, as a new agenda item.
213- لاحظــت اللجنة أنه، وفقا لقــرار الجمعية العامة 62/217، نظرت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية، وفقا لخطة العمل المتعددة السنوات التي اعتمدتها اللجنة في دورتها الخمسين،() في بند بشأن التبادل العام للمعلومات عن التشريعات الوطنية ذات الصلة باستكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في الأغراض السلمية، كبند منتظم جديد في جدول أعمالها.

The Legal Subcommittee recalled that the General Assembly, in its resolution 62/217, had endorsed the recommendation of the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space that the Subcommittee, at its forty-seventh session, should consider the general exchange of information on national legislation relevant to the peaceful exploration and use of outer space in accordance with the workplan adopted by the Committee at its fiftieth session.
131- استذكرت اللجنة الفرعية القانونية أن الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 62/217، قد أقرّت توصية لجنة استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في الأغراض السلمية بأن تنظر اللجنة الفرعية، في دورتها السابعة والأربعين، في التبادل العام للمعلومات عن التشريعات الوطنية ذات الصلة باستكشاف الفضاء الخارجي واستخدامه في الأغراض السلمية وفقا لخطة العمل التي اعتمدتها اللجنة في دورتها الخمسين.()

The Subcommittee noted the proposal by Japan, and co-sponsored by Austria, Canada, France, Nigeria and the United States, that the Subcommittee should include on its agenda a new item entitled " general exchange of information on practices in relation to non-legally binding instruments for outer space activities " .
179- ونوَّهت اللجنة الفرعية بالاقتراح المقدَّم من اليابان، والذي تشاركت معها في تقديمه فرنسا وكندا والنمسا ونيجيريا والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، بأن تدرج اللجنة الفرعية في جدول أعمالها بنداً جديداً عنوانه " التبادل العام للمعلومات عن الممارسات المتعلقة بالصكوك غير الملزمة قانوناً في مجال أنشطة الفضاء الخارجي " .
