13. The Committee recommends that the State party take effective measures to include peace education in school curricula and to encourage a culture of peace and tolerance within schools.

28. While welcoming the State party's indication that peace education will be incorporated in school curricula at all levels of primary and secondary education in 2012, 2013, the Committee is however concerned that so far, access to human rights and peace education has been extremely limited.

(a) Make peace education, human rights and humanitarian law a compulsory component of the school and college curricula and syllabi;

The Committee recommends that the State party, in collaboration with civil society organizations, develop and implement training programmes and campaigns to promote the values of peace and respect for human rights and include peace education and human rights as fundamental subjects in the education system.
8- توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بأن تقوم، بالتعاون مع منظمات المجتمع المدني، بوضع وتنفيذ برامج تدريبية وتنظيم حملات لإشاعة قيَم السلم واحترام حقوق الإنسان وبأن تُدرِج موضوع التثقيف في مجال السلم وحقوق الإنسان ضمن المواضيع الرئيسية في نظام التعليم.

(b) Group training, including seminars, workshops and fellowships. (i) Promoting cooperation among Member States through the holding of regional conferences/seminars; and (ii) workshop and training programme on peace education for teachers in the African region and for journalists and editors in the Asia-Pacific region;
)ب( التدريب الجماعي، بما في ذلك الحلقات الدراسية وحلقات العمل والزمالات - ' ١ ' تشجيع التعاون فيما بين الدول اﻷعضاء عن طريق عقد مؤتمرات/حلقات دراسية إقليمية؛ ' ٢ ' تنظيم حلقة عمل وبرنامج تدريبي عن التثقيف في مجال السلم للمدرسين في منطقة أفريقيا وللصحفيين والمحررين في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ؛
