442. The Committee remains deeply concerned about the reservations to articles 14, paragraphs 1 and 21 of the Convention, which might impede the full implementation of the Convention, but welcomes the information from the delegation that the State party is willing to continue to review those reservations with a view to their withdrawal.
442- تشعر اللجنة بقلق بالغ إزاء التحفظات على الفقرتين 1 و21 من المادة 14 من الاتفاقية، الأمر الذي يمكن أن يعوق التنفيذ الكامل للاتفاقية، غير أنها ترحب بالمعلومات التي قدمها الوفد ومفادها أن الدولة الطرف مستعدة لمواصلة إعادة النظر في هذه التحفظات بهدف سحبها.

In responding to some questions, Switzerland noted that it has withdrawn a number of reservations, particularly to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and that it is a policy to regularly consider reservations with a view to withdrawing them when possible.
55- ورداً على بعض الأسئلة، أشارت سويسرا إلى أنها سحبت عدداً من التحفظات، ولا سيما التحفظ بشأن العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية والتحفظ بشأن اتفاقية حقوق الطفل، وأن السياسة التي تتبعها هي النظر بصورة منتظمة في التحفظات بهدف سحبها حيثما أمكن.

8. Encourages States parties to consider limiting the extent of any reservations that they lodge to the International Covenants on Human Rights and the Optional Protocols thereto, to formulate any reservations as precisely and narrowly as possible and to regularly review such reservations with a view to withdrawing them so as to ensure that no reservation is incompatible with the object and purpose of the relevant treaty;
8 - تشجع الدول الأطراف على أن تنظر في الحد من نطاق أي تحفظات تقدمها على العهدين الدوليين الخاصين بحقوق الإنسان والبروتوكولين الاختياريين الملحقين بهما، وأن تصوغ أي تحفظات تقدمها بأقصى قدر ممكن من الدقة والتحديد، وأن تستعرض بانتظام تلك التحفظات بهدف سحبها لكفالة عدم تعارضها مع هدف المعاهدة ذات الصلة والغرض منها؛

4. In its concluding observations on the second periodic report, the Committee recommended that the Syrian Arab Republic should study its reservations with a view to withdrawing them. It is most important to note that the Syrian Arab Republic withdrew its reservations to articles 20 and 21 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by Decree No. 12 of February 2007 (annex 1) and that one reservation to article 14 remains.
4- وفي تقييمها لتقرير سورية الدوري الثاني إلى لجنة حقوق الطفل أوصت اللجنة سورية بدراسة هذه التحفظات بهدف سحبها، ومن المهم جداً الإشارة هنا إلى أن الجمهورية العربية السورية قد رفعت تحفظها عن المادتين 20 و21 من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل بموجب المرسوم رقم 12 في شباط/فبراير 2007 (الملحق رقم 1)، ولم يبق لديها سوى تحفظ وحيد على المادة 14.

5. In its concluding observations on the second periodic report, the Committee recommended that the Syrian Arab Republic should study its reservations with a view to withdrawing them. It is very important to note that the Syrian Arab Republic withdrew its reservations to articles 20 and 21 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child by Decree No. 12 of February 2007 (annex 1), and that only one reservation, concerning article 14, still stands.
