كما تعترف المادة 14(2) من الاتفاقية بأهمية مشاركة المرأة في المجال المحدد للتخطيط الإنمائي في المناطق الريفية، حيث تطلب هذه المادة إلى الدول الأطراف أن تسعى إلى القضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة في المناطق الريفية، وذلك بأن تضمن للمرأة الحق في المشاركة في وضع وتنفيذ التخطيط الإنمائي على جميع المستويات.
