In that regard, Malta welcomes the Agreement on Port State measures to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing, which was adopted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on 25 November this year and which aims to close fishing ports to ships involved in illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.
