In this vein, my delegation welcomes the report of the Secretary-General entitled “arrangements and practices for the interaction of non-governmental organizations in all activities of the United Nations system”.
وعلــى هــذا المنــوال، يرحــب وفد بلدي بتقرير اﻷمين العام المعنون " الترتيبات والممارسات المتعلقة بتعامل المنظمات غير الحكومية مع جميع أنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة " .

While we welcome in this connection the report of the Secretary-General on arrangements and practices for the interaction of non-governmental organizations in all activities of the United Nations system, we would also like to offer some comments that we hope will enrich the current dialogue on this very important subject.
ونحن إذ نرحب، في هــذا الصــدد، بتقرير اﻷمين العام بشأن الترتيبات والممارسات المتعلقة بتعامل المنظمات غير الحكومية مع جميع أنشطــة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة، نود أن نقــدم بعض الملاحظات التــي نرجو أن تساهم في إثراء الحوار الدائر حول هذا الموضوع الهام.

Constitutional arrangements and practices that were impediments to dialogue, reconciliation, the restoration of mutual trust and the invention of newer forms of coexistence and autonomy had failed to tackle the emergency situation.
118- وقال إن الترتيبات والممارسات الدستورية، التي تشكل عوائق أمام الحوار والوفاق واستعادة الثقة المتبادلة وإيجاد أشكال أحدث من التعايش والاستقلال الذاتي، قد أخفقت في معالجة الحالات الناشئة.

The Commission pointed out that the group exemption for liner conferences did not cover the arrangements and practices in question and did not allow the establishment of a cartel in respect of the whole of the trade, or of a number of trades, so as to hinder outsiders from securing access, with the object or effect of eliminating all effective competition.

73. The present report has highlighted a number of organizational arrangements and practices that appear to reduce both efficiency and effectiveness within the Department itself.
73 - وأبرز هذا التقرير عددا من الترتيبات والممارسات التنظيمية التي يبدو أنها تقلل من الكفاءة والفعالية على السواء داخل الإدارة نفسها.

Securing tenure for all, especially through the range of tenure arrangements and practices covered in the present report, has a variety of benefits, including social stability, poverty reduction, improved land management and functioning urban land markets.

The Secretary-General’s report entitled “arrangements and practices for the interaction of non-governmental organizations in all activities of the United Nations system” makes it clear that non-governmental organizations are currently participating in a multitude of issues covered by various United Nations programmes.
وتقرير اﻷمين العام المعنون " الترتيبات والممارسات المتعلقة بتعامل المنظمات غير الحكومية مع جميع أنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة " يوضح أن هذه المنظمات تشارك حاليا في عدد كبير من القضايا التي تغطيها مختلف برامج اﻷمم المتحدة.

We thank the Secretary-General for his report on arrangements and practices for the interaction of non-governmental organizations in all activities of the United Nations system (A/53/170), submitted in response to the request of the General Assembly in its decision 52/453.
ونحن نشكر اﻷمين العام على تقريره بشأن الترتيبات والممارسات المتعلقة بتعامل المنظمات غير الحكومية مع جميع أنشطة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة )A/53/170( والمقدم استجابة لطلب الجمعية العامة في مقررها ٥٢/٤٥٣.

It was agreed that the arrangements and practices described in document A/AC.179/5 of 9 March 1976 in respect of the United Nations/GATT relationship provide a suitable basis to continue to guide relations between the United Nations and the World Trade Organization.

Such request led to the issuance of the report of the Secretary-General (A/53/170) on arrangements and practices for the interaction of non-governmental organizations in all activities of the United Nations system.

The resolution also preserves key strengths of the Commission, including its unique system of independent experts known as special procedures, as well as the important arrangements and practices for NGO participation in its work.

(b) The agreement, in the light of the above, that the arrangements and practices described in the General Assembly document of 9 March 1976 2/ in respect of the United Nations/GATT relationship provided a suitable basis to continue to guide relations between the United Nations and WTO.

These initiatives were mentioned in the report of the Secretary-General concerning arrangements and practices for the interaction of non-governmental organizations in all activities of the United Nations system (A/54/329), with the expectation that the NGO Section will in fact be able to deliver them.

It was also important to be aware of the General Assembly process as set out in the report of the Secretary—General on arrangements and practices for the interaction of non-governmental organizations in all activities of the United Nations system (A/53/170).
