2. Pursuant to the principles and intent of the cooperation agreement between the Council of Europe and the Secretariat of the United Nations, signed on 15 December 1951, and the follow-up agreement of 19 November 1971, the Arrangement on Cooperation and Liaison, between the secretariats of the United Nations and the Council, the two organizations have continued to cooperate on matters of mutual interest.
