In accordance with article 43 of the Convention, the Committee on the Rights of the Child was established for the purpose of examining the progress made by States parties in achieving the realization of the obligations undertaken in the Convention.
ووفقا للمادة ٤٣ من الاتفاقية، أنشئت لجنة حقوق الطفل من أجل دراسة التقدم الذي تحرزه الدول اﻷطراف في بلوغ الالتزامات المتعهﱠد بها في الاتفاقية.

وإذ ترحب أيضا بأعمال لجنة حقوق الطفل في بحث التقدم الذي تحرزه الدول الأطراف في تنفيذ الالتزامات التي تعهدت بها في اتفاقية حقوق الطفل وفي تقديم توصيات إلى الدول الأطراف بشأن تنفيذها، وفي القيام، بالتعاون مع مفوضية الأمم المتحدة السامية لحقوق الإنسان، بزيادة الوعي بمبادئ الاتفاقية وأحكامها،

“1. For the purpose of examining the progress made by States parties in achieving the implementation of the obligations undertaken in the present Protocol, States Parties shall provide periodic reports to the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
" ١ - لغرض تقصي التقدم الذي تحرزه الدول اﻷطراف في تحقيق تنفيذ الالتزامات المتعهد بها في هذا البروتوكول ، تقدم الدول اﻷطراف تقارير دورية الى لجنة اﻷمم المتحدة لمنع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية .

1. For the purpose of examining the progress made by States parties in achieving the fulfilment of the obligations undertaken in the present Convention, these States will provide periodic reports to the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which will carry out the functions hereinafter provided.
١ - بغية استعراض التقدم الذي تحرزه الدول اﻷطراف في إنجاز ما تعهدت به من التزامات في هذه الاتفاقية ، ستقدم هذه الدول تقارير دورية إلى لجنة منع الجريمة والعدالة الجنائية ، التي ستضطلع بالمهام الواردة أدناه .
