In the area of drugs and crime, UNODC published its annual flagship publication, the World Drug Report, and the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2012.

III. Preparing the Global Report on Trafficking in persons

As mandated by the United Nations Global Plan of Action to Combat Trafficking in Persons, in December 2012, UNODC published the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons, which provides an overview of patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at the global, regional and national levels.
28- وتبعاً للتكليف الوارد في خطة عمل الأمم المتحدة العالمية لمكافحة الاتجار بالأشخاص، نشر المكتب، في كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2012، التقرير العالمي عن الاتجار بالأشخاص، الذي يقدِّم لمحة عامة عن أنماط الاتجار بالأشخاص واتجاهاته على الصُّعُد العالمي والإقليمي والوطني.

8. Welcomes the publication by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime of the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons 2012, pursuant to the Global Plan of Action, and emphasizes the need to translate that publication, as well as future editions of the Global Report into the six official languages of the United Nations, in accordance with General Assembly resolution 64/293;

In 2012 UNODC published the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons, as the first edition of the biennial global report mandated by the General Assembly to report on trafficking patterns and flows.
30- ونشر مكتب المخدِّرات والجريمة في عام 2012 التقرير العالمي عن الاتجار بالأشخاص، باعتباره الطبعة الأولى من التقرير العالمي لفترة السنتين الذي كلفت الجمعية العامة بالقيام به لجمع البيانات وعرض أنماط وتدفُّقات الاتجار بالأشخاص.

15. Following General Assembly resolution 64/293, UNODC has established a regular data collection on trafficking in persons, which serves as the basis of the biennial production of the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons.
15 - وفي أعقاب اتخاذ قرار الجمعية العامة 64/293، أنشأ مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة عملية جمع منتظم للبيانات المتعلقة بالاتجار بالأشخاص، تمثل الأساس لإعداد التقرير العالمي عن الاتجار بالأشخاص كل سنتين.

The fifth component, the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons, was established in response to General Assembly resolution 64/293, which mandated UNODC to report every two years on patterns and flows of trafficking in persons at the national, regional and international levels.
109- أما العنصر الخامس، وهو التقرير العالمي عن الاتجار بالأشخاص، فقد أنشئ عملاً بقرار الجمعية العامة 64/293، الذي كُلّف المكتب بموجبه بتقديم تقرير كل سنتين عن أنماط وتدفقات الاتجار بالأشخاص على المستوى الوطني والإقليمي والدولي.

The report also includes information on the progress made in collecting data for the first biennial report on patterns, forms and flows of trafficking in persons at all levels, the Global Report on Trafficking in persons, to be published pursuant to General Assembly resolution 64/293 and Commission resolution 20/3.
ويتضمّن التقرير أيضاً معلومات عن التقدم المحرز في جمع البيانات من أجل أول تقرير إثناسنوي عن أنماط وأشكال وتدفقات الاتجار بالأشخاص على جميع المستويات، وهو التقرير العالمي عن الاتجار بالأشخاص الذي سينشر عملاً بقرار الجمعية العامة 64/293 وقرار اللجنة 20/3.

(b) Consider the advisability of having the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) continue to produce the Global Report on Trafficking in Persons, based on the information collected through existing data collection mechanisms;
