As a result of the review, the Conference also requested the Convention secretariat to prepare a report, in consultation with the GEF secretariat, on the determination of funding necessary and available for the implementation of the Convention, and also to facilitate, through dialogue, the streamlining of Conference guidance to GEF.

The COP, by its decision 12/CP.3, approved and brought into force the annex to the MOU on the determination of funding necessary and available for the implementation of the Convention.

3- يطلب إلى أمانة الاتفاقية أن تقوم، بالتشاور مع أمانة مرفق البيئة العالمية، بإعداد تقرير عن تنفيذ المقررين 12/م أ-2 و12/م أ-3 المتعلقين بتحديد التمويل اللازم والمتوافر لتنفيذ الاتفاقية، وفقاً للمادة 11، وذلك كي تنظر فيه الهيئة الفرعية للتنفيذ في دورتها العشرين؛

Article 11.3(d) of the Convention calls for arrangements to determine in a predictable and identifiable manner the amount of funding necessary and available for the implementation of the Convention.
141- تدعو الفقرة 3(د) من المادة 11 من الاتفاقية إلى اتخاذ ترتيبات للقيام، على نحوٍ قابل للتنبؤ والتحديد، بضبط مبلغ التمويل اللازم والمتوافر لتنفيذ الاتفاقية.

Article 11.3(d) of the Convention specifies that arrangements must be put in place to determine in a predictable and identifiable manner the amount of funding necessary and available for the implementation of the Convention and the conditions under which that amount shall be periodically reviewed.
4- تنص المادة 11-3(د) من الاتفاقية على أنه ينبغي إقرار ترتيبات للقيام، على نحو دقيق ويمكن التنبؤ به، بتحديد مبلغ التمويل اللازم والمتوافر من أجل تنفيذ الاتفاقية، والشروط التي يجري وفقا لها استعراض ذلك المبلغ بصفة دورية.

9. In accordance with Article 11.3(d) of the Convention, which calls for arrangements to determine in a predictable and identifiable manner the amount of funding necessary and available for the implementation of the Convention and the conditions under which that amount shall be periodically reviewed, the COP and the Council shall jointly determine the aggregate GEF funding requirements for the purpose of the Convention.
