Replace as well as the resolutions and decisions of the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development and the Committee on Natural Resources with as well as the resolutions and decisions adopted by the Economic and Social Council on the recommendation of bodies responsible for energy and natural resources;

In the course of summer 1997, the Council would as a priority examine four subsidiary bodies - the Commission on Science and Technology for Development, the Committee on Development Planning, the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development, and the Committee on Natural Resources - and would have before it reports from some of the regional commissions regarding the establishment of priorities.

135. The work of the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development and the Committee on Natural Resources should be more compatible with and supportive of the programme of work of the Commission.
١٣٥ - وينبغي أن يكون العمل الذي تقوم به اللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية ولجنة الموارد الطبيعية أكثر اتساقا مع برنامج عمل اللجنة وأكثر دعما له.

It also provides substantive servicing to United Nations cartographic conferences and conferences on the standardization of geographical names and contributes in the preparation of reports to the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development and the Committee on Natural Resources.
ويقدم أيضا الخدمة الفنية لمؤتمرات اﻷمم المتحدة المعنية برسم الخرائط ومؤتمراتها المعنية بتوحيد اﻷسماء الجغرافية، ويساهم في إعداد تقريري لجنة مصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة ﻷغراض التنمية ولجنة الموارد الطبيعية.

The Council would consider the reports of the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development and the Committee on Natural Resources; because of the technical character of those Committees' recommendations it would be difficult to introduce any amendments or changes, which might affect both the status and the mandate of the two Committees.

135. The work of the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development and the Committee on Natural Resources should be more compatible with and supportive of the programme of work of the Commission.
٥٣١ - وينبغي أن يكون العمل الذي تقوم به اللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية ولجنة الموارد الطبيعية أكثر اتساقا مع برنامج عمل لجنة التنمية المستدامة وأكثر دعما له.

(Agreed) The work of the Committee on New and Renewable Sources of Energy and on Energy for Development and the Committee on Natural Resources should be more compatible with and supportive of the programme of work of the Commission.
١٢٧ - )متفق عليها( وينبغي أن يكون العمل الذي تقوم به اللجنة المعنية بمصادر الطاقة الجديدة والمتجددة وبتسخير الطاقة ﻷغراض التنمية ولجنة الموارد الطبيعية أكثر اتساقا مع برنامج عمل اللجنة وأكثر دعما له.

9. Calls upon the Commission on Science and Technology for Development and the Commission on Sustainable Development to interact more effectively, through the Economic and Social Council, in carrying out their respective mandates;

10. Calls upon the supporting secretariats of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development and the Commission on Sustainable Development to improve their interaction;
١٠ - تطلب إلى اﻷمانتين الداعمتين للجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية ولجنة التنمية المستدامة تحسين تفاعلهما؛

10. Calls upon the supporting secretariats of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development and the Commission on Sustainable Development to improve their interaction;
٠١ - تطلب إلى اﻷمانتين الداعمتين للجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية ولجنة التنمية المستدامة تحسين تفاعلهما؛

(a) Closer communication should be established between the Bureaux of the Commission on Science and Technology for Development and the Commission on Sustainable Development as well as with other Bureaux of the functional commissions, as appropriate;
)أ( توثيق التواصل بين مكتبي اللجنة المعنية بتسخير العلم والتكنولوجيا ﻷغراض التنمية ولجنة التنمية المستدامة ومع المكاتب اﻷخرى للجان الفنية حسب الاقتضاء؛
