Notes with appreciation that some progress has been made by the Secretary-General to comply with some of the provisions of section III, paragraph 5, of its resolution 56/242, and requests the Secretary-General to continue to direct all departments to include, where appropriate, the following elements in reports originating in the Secretariat:

The draft resolution would encourage Member States to restrain their demand for documentation and streamline the material produced by the Secretariat.
إن مشروع القرار سيشجع الدول اﻷعضاء على الحد من طلباتها على الوثائق وتبسيط المنشورات التي تصدرها اﻷمانة العامة.

We are convinced that a thorough examination of the different categories of publications issued by the Secretariat is much needed.

The Committee on Conferences had considered the report of the Secretary-General on the pattern of conferences (A/68/122), which had been issued within the mandated time frame and was within the word limit for reports originating in the Secretariat.
وقد نظرت لجنة المؤتمرات في تقرير الأمين العام عن خطة المؤتمرات (A/68/122)، والذي صدر في حدود الإطار الزمني المقرر وكان عدد كلماته في الحدود المسموح بها للتقارير التي تصدرها الأمانة العامة.

The Committee on Conferences had considered the report of the Secretary-General on the pattern of conferences (A/67/127), which offered a comprehensive summary of the discussions held during the Committee's substantive session and respected the word limit for reports originating in the Secretariat.
