In parallel with the legislative work done by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry, in the framework of research, studies, and monitoring of crime, encourages prosecutor's offices to record acts of abuse and violence committed against children in annual statistics that are compiled, analysed and transmitted to decision makers. The following is a summary of the data for 2004 on the crimes covered by the Protocol.
مواكبة للعمل التشريعي الذي تقوم به وزارة العدل، تعمل في إطار البحث والدراسة ورصد ظاهرة الجريمة على تعبئة النيابات العامة لرصد أفعال سوء المعاملة والعنف المرتكبة ضد الطفل من خلال إحصائيات سنوية يتم حصرها وتحليلها ووضعها رهن إشارة صانعي القرار وفيما يلي ملخص لما تم حصره بالنسبة للجرائم التي يغطيها البروتوكول برسم سنة 2004.

(8) The Committee notes the State party's commitment and efforts to gather data and conduct studies on commercial sexual exploitation of children, but is concerned that there is insufficient information available on sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography in the State party, due mainly to the lack of a functional data collection system on the issues covered by the Protocol.
8) تحيط اللجنة علماً بالتزام الدولة الطرف بجمع البيانات وإنجاز الدراسات المتصلة بالاستغلال الجنسي للأطفال لأغراض تجارية وبالجهود التي تبذلها في هذا المجال، ولكنها تعرب عن قلقها إزاء عدم كفاية المعلومات المتاحة بشأن بيع الأطفال وبغاء الأطفال واستغلال الأطفال في المواد الإباحية في الدولة الطرف أساساً بسبب عدم توافر نظام عملي لجمع البيانات المتصلة بالمسائل التي يغطيها البروتوكول.

According to the 1957 Extradition of Criminals Act, which embodies the extradition policy adopted by the national legislature, extradition is compulsory under the bilateral treaties signed between States and is permissible in the absence of a bilateral treaty. After the ratification of the Protocol, extradition became compulsory for the offences against children covered by the Protocol.
وينظم قانون تسليم المجرمين (1957) الذي يلخص سياسة تسليم المجرمين التي يتبناها التشريع الداخلي بأنه يتم بموجب الاتفاقيات الثنائية التي توقع بين الدول بأنها إجبارية (وجوازها إذا لم تكن هناك اتفاقية ثنائية ولكن بعد مصادقة السودان على البروتوكول أصبح التسليم إجبارياً في الجرائم الموجهة ضد الأطفال التي يغطيها البروتوكول).
